Uma cantora de ópera em ínicio de carreira se vê transportada para Londres na época vitoriana e aos braços de um maestro solitário e desfigurado, determinado a transformá-la em uma estrela. Christine (Jill Schoelen) a cantora "Garganta de Ouro", consegue atingir o sucesso através dos arranjos de seu protetor (Robert Englund)... Até que ela descobre que ele tem cometido vários assassinatos obscuros e inexplicáveis em sua honra, e que ele não vai parar até completar sua grande obra-prima... de sangue!
