As a young girl, Kim Hye-jin was impossibly cute and lived a comfortable life with her wealthy parents. Since entering her teens, both her looks and fortunes have drastically changed. She currently lives rent-free with a friend and is a part-time clerk at a convenience store. Out-of-the-blue, Ji Sung-joon, her childhood friend, contacts her and suggests they meet. He is unaware that Hye-jin recently spotted him and knows how fit and handsome he had become. Not wanting to disappoint him, she insists her pretty best friend go in her place. What could go wrong? After landing a full-time job, Hye-jin is surprised to find out that Sung-joon is her boss. To add insult to injury, he is treating her with nothing but disdain and contempt. This is not the friend she fondly remembers, so she goes about hiding her true identity from him.

Hye-jin’s old friend Sung-joon wants to meet up with her. When he shows up looking unexpectedly handsome, Hye-jin asks Ha-ri to pretend to be her.

Hye-jin sees Sung-joon again when he joins her team as an editor at The Most magazine. Sung-joon scolds her harshly for her clumsiness.

Shin-hyuk notices there’s something going on between Hye-jin and Sung-joon. Tired of being looked down on, Hye-jin starts learning all about fashion.

Hye-jin calls Sung-joon after drinking to deal with his treatment of her. Ha-ri starts falling for Sung-joon as she continues meeting him as Hye-jin.

On her day off, Hye-jin overhears Sung-joon talking on the phone about how The Most could cease publication unless performances improve.

Hye-jin worries about Sung-joon’s health. As he gets to know Ha-ri better, Sung-joon starts to notice that she is different from the Hye-jin he knew.

Sung-joon forgets his wallet when he gets lunch with Hye-jin while on assignment. They are put to work to earn back what they owe the restaurant.

Shin-hyuk tries to convince Ha-ri to stop pretending to be Hye-jin. Sung-joon struggles to deal with the feelings he has for both Hye-jin and Ha-ri.

Hye-jin’s colleagues marvel at her transformation when she returns to work. Shin-hyuk continues to tease Hye-jin as she and Sung-joon get closer.

Sung-joon rushes to Hye-jin’s side after her car breaks down. As he holds her tightly, he realizes just how much he cares about her.

Hye-jin and Sung-joon meet and catch up on all the things that have happened between them. Ha-ri’s mother comes to see her.

Sung-joon convinces Shin-hyuk to stay at The Most. Shin-hyuk returns back to work, but his feelings for Hye-jin remain unchanged.

Hye-jin starts seeing Sung-joon but his completely different attitude at work makes her worry that their colleagues will figure out what is happening.

The Most’s big interview gets canceled at the last minute, but Poong-ho makes a brilliant suggestion of interviewing the famous writer Ten.

Sung-joon is shocked to learn Ten’s true identity. As Hye-jin prepares to move to America, a children’s book author invites her to work with her.

Sung-joon talks to Hye-jin every day since moving to America, while she starts writing children’s books. One day, Sung-joon stops answering his phone.
