Um trem descarrila, matando o passageiro Lin e deixando o marido da corretora Wen-Qing, Yan-Jie, em coma. O promotor Chen-Lang suspeita de crime e que os filhos de Lin tentaram fraudar o seguro. Confrontada com evidências do caso de seu marido, Wen-Qing se junta ao seu velho amigo Chen-Lang para uma investigação.
