Ty revient d'un long voyage à Heartland avec Blair Connor, une amie rencontrée pendant le voyage. Amy aura des soupçons sur les sentiments de Blair à l’égard de Ty mais ils lui diront tous deux que rien ne se passe entre eux. Mais à la fin de l'épisode 1, Blair embrassera Ty en lui disant qu'elle l'aime et qu'elle ne veut pas rentrer avec son copain Grant. Ty lui répondra qu'il n'est pas amoureux d'elle, qu'il aime toujours Amy et qu'elle devrait rester avec Grant. Ty se gardera bien d'avouer quoi que ce soit à Amy. Dans l'épisode 3, Amy se fera manipuler par Chase pour faire un spectacle de dressage qu'Amy refusera au départ mais finira par faire. À la fin de l'épisode, Chase embrassera Amy et elle ne le repoussera pas… Sous le coup de la culpabilité, Amy avouera à Ty ce qui s'est passé. Elle ajoutera que si cela avait été le cas pour lui, elle était certaine qu'il le lui aurait dit. Ty pardonnera Amy mais il ne lui parlera pas pour autant de son histoire avec Blair… À l'épisode 10, Grant viendra se battre avec Ty parce que Blair a raconté que Ty et elle avaient eu une relation. Amy, sur le coup, sera choquée et ne voudra pas parler à Ty croyant les paroles de Grant, bien que Blair soit venue en personne pour lui dire que ce n'était pas la vérité. Elle continuera à faire culpabiliser Ty qui, lui, ne manquera pas de rappeler à Amy son histoire avec Chase. Le couple se séparera finalement. À la fin de l'épisode, on apprendra aussi que Lou est enceinte.
