Lorsque l'équipe perd ses pouvoirs en combattant Rito, le frère de Rita, les Rangers partent en quête du Temple du Pouvoir, où Ninjor, créateur des Médaillons, leur donnent de nouveaux pouvoirs Ninjas ainsi que les NinjaZords, rejoints plus tard par les ShogunZords. Au milieu de cette saison, à son tour, Kimberly quitte l'équipe pour son entraînement à la Coupe du Monde de Gymnastique. Elle donne ses pouvoirs à Katherine de manière temporaire, ainsi elle devient la nouvelle Ranger Rose. Peu de temps après, Master Vile, le père de Rita et Rito, débarque sur Terre avec le Cristal d'Armaguedon. Il parvient à inverser le cours du temps et à transformer les Rangers en enfants, dépourvus de pouvoirs.
