Forever Free and the Illiteracy Playbook (2026)
When literacy is power, denial becomes control.
96 min
America’s literacy crisis isn’t accidental — it’s the result of a deliberate playbook that has treated reading as a gatekeeper of power. This documentary reveals how, particularly in the African American community, literacy has been denied and reclaimed as a tool of liberation — and why dismantling those barriers is the frontline of equity today.
